Andorra's Agricultural Subsidies Rise 11.3% to €3.595 Million in 2025

Public agricultural subsidies to Andorra's farming sector rose 11.3% last year to €3.595 million, according to figures released on Tuesday by the Statistics Department.

The total includes €3.595 million from the central Agriculture and Livestock Department, up from €3.23 million in 2024. Local parish contributions to farming and livestock activities fell 11.6% to €113,918.

Key increases drove the overall growth. Subsidies for animal welfare improvements in bovine livestock operations jumped 82.6% to €255,674, from €140,033 the previous year. Aid for specific farming practices to maintain the natural environment grew 18.7% to €85,441. Support for traditional mountain livestock practices rose 11.8%. Subsidies for certified quality products reached €452,439, a 8.2% gain.

Some lines declined. Aid for farm improvement plans dropped to zero from €46,599. Mowing subsidies for meadows dipped 1% to €403,728.

The 2025 total exceeds the 2020-2024 average of €2.772 million. It equals 19.2% of the sector's gross value added and 0.1% of nominal GDP.
