Andorra Police Arrest Multiple for Assaults, Groping, Drunk Driving, Drugs

Police in Andorra detained multiple individuals over recent days for offences including assaults, sexual misconduct, drunk driving and drug possession.

On Monday afternoon in Escaldes-Engordany, officers arrested a 36-year-old man suspected of crimes against physical and moral integrity after he assaulted his 13-year-old daughter. The incident prompted the girl's school to activate the Immediate Action Protocol and alert authorities.

That same day in Andorra la Vella, police detained a 32-year-old man for a crime against sexual liberty following a woman's complaint that he had groped her.

On Wednesday night in Sant Julià de Lòria, authorities arrested a 32-year-old man and his 34-year-old ex-partner after they assaulted each other on a bus. Both face charges of crimes against physical and moral integrity.

Road safety operations led to several arrests for driving under the influence. Over the weekend, five drivers were stopped with blood alcohol levels ranging from 0.89g/L to 3.18g/L. Early Saturday in Andorra la Vella, a 19-year-old registered 0.99g/L, while a 34-year-old there showed 1.04g/L, tested positive for drugs, and possessed 2.5g of cocaine and 0.6g of marijuana. Saturday afternoon on the Rabassa road in Sant Julià de Lòria, a 24-year-old non-resident was arrested with 0.89g/L; he had used a false identity and violated an expulsion order, leading to additional charges of crimes against legal traffic and the administration of justice. Early Sunday in La Massana, traffic police alerted officers to a 47-year-old who had crashed into three kerb posts on Avinguda Sant Antoni, fled the scene, and later tested at 1.66g/L. Sunday afternoon on the Cortals d'Encamp road, a 55-year-old resident was stopped after a citizen reported suspected intoxication; he had argued at nearby mountain restaurants before driving a Mercedes and registered 3.18g/L—nearly four times the legal limit and among the highest in recent months.

Other traffic-related detentions included a 53-year-old driving with a suspended licence. At the Riu Runer border, one person was held for ignoring an administrative expulsion order and another for entering with 1.05g of cocaine.

Weekend drug arrests involved a 29-year-old man with 1.1g of cocaine, plus two women aged 24 and 26 carrying an additional 1g; nearby, police found two wraps with 1.2g more. Sunday morning in Pas de la Casa, a 29-year-old non-resident was detained for breaching a public function by violating an expulsion order.
