Police in Escaldes-Engordany arrested a 36-year-old tourist on Sunday afternoon after he forced open an apartment door while heavily intoxicated.

The man struck the residence door repeatedly until it broke, prompting the tenant to call security forces. Officers arrived quickly at the scene and took him into custody as he attempted to gain entry. Damage to the door frame, lock, and overall structure exceeded €600, according to police reports.

In separate drunk driving cases over the same period, authorities stopped a 33-year-old man in Encamp, where tests showed a blood alcohol level of 1.72 grams per litre. They also detained a 31-year-old driver in Escaldes-Engordany with a reading of 1.24 grams per litre.

The incident led to charges related to crimes against property and the privacy of a home.
