Firefighters and a specialist cleaning firm pumped 400 cubic metres of water from a flooded underground car park in Andorra la Vella's Prada Ramon neighbourhood after a sump pump failure, leaving eight vehicles trapped on the -2 level.

The incident affected a shared facility for the Sandy II and Sant Miquel apartment buildings on Carrer Pere d'Urg. Operations started at 4am and lasted until around 11am, using a fire truck, two light vehicles, at least one high-capacity pump from the firefighters, and an additional pump from the cleaning company. Extracted water flowed steadily into the public sewer system through hoses.

Police contacted vehicle owners early to move accessible cars, though eight remained immovable due to the flooding. Six firefighters, company staff, and traffic officers from Andorra la Vella council took part, with partial road closures on Carrer Pere d'Urg to manage diversions. No injuries occurred, and firefighters reported no other rain-related callouts.

Authorities have not detailed when the car park will reopen or the extent of vehicle damage.
