Statistics show growth across all parishes, driven by immigrants from Latin America, with foreigners now

Andorra's resident population hit 90,021 on 31 July 2026, crossing the 90,000 mark for the first time, according to Statistics Department figures. This marks a 1.9% increase, adding 1,715 people compared to the previous year.

Growth occurred across all seven parishes, though at varying rates. Escaldes-Engordany saw the largest absolute gain of 347 residents, a 2.2% rise to 16,350. Canillo followed with 316 new residents, up 5% to 6,593. Encamp added 296 people (2.2%) for a total of 13,710, while La Massana gained 269 (2.2%) to reach 12,350. Ordino increased by 183 (3.2%) to 5,816, Sant Julià de Lòria by 170 (1.7%) to 10,318, and Andorra la Vella, the capital, by 134 (0.5%) to 24,884.

The "other nationalities" category drove the biggest absolute rise, gaining 798 people (5.2%) to 16,096, led by immigrants from Colombia, Peru, and Argentina. Colombians grew by 249 (16.3%) to 1,779; Peruvians by 129 (14.2%) to 1,035; and Argentines by 71 (2.2%) to 3,350. These three groups accounted for 449 new residents, or 26.2% of the overall yearly change. Among major groups, French nationals rose 6.3% with 252 additions to 4,263. Andorrans increased by 458 (1.2%) to 40,128, and Spaniards by 372 (1.8%) to 21,225. Portuguese numbers fell by 165 (1.9%) to 8,309. Foreigners now make up 55.4% of the total, or 49,893 people.

Age breakdowns show an aging trend: 73.3% (66,020) are aged 15-64; 16.1% (14,502) are 65 or older, up 4.8% from last year; and 10.6% (9,499) are under 15, down 2.7%.

Municipal registers recorded 94,596 people on that date, a 0.5% rise from 94,169 a year prior. The gap with estimates stood at 5.1% (4,575 people), narrower than the 6.6% difference in July 2025, with improvements in most parishes.
