Two workers were injured Thursday midday at a construction site in Vilars d’Engordany when a formwork panel fell on them during operations.

Emergency services were alerted at 12:08 and responded quickly. Three firefighting units from Bomberos d’Andorra and an ambulance from the Servei Andorrà d’Atenció Sanitària (SAAS) attended the scene. The panel did not fall fully on the men, but both sustained injuries from the incident. One was evacuated by a SAAS ambulance and the other by a Bombers ambulance. They were taken to Hospital Nostra Senyora de Meritxell for treatment.

One of the workers is 58 years old. Firefighters described the injuries as non-serious, mainly bruises and possible minor trauma, though current conditions remain unconfirmed.

The accident took place as the workers handled materials. Investigators have not released details on the cause of the collapse.
