Andorra's Population Hits 90,105, Up 1.9% with Gains Across All Parishes

Andorra's resident population stood at 90,105 on 31 August, reflecting a 1.9% increase—or 1,699 additional residents—compared to the same month in 2025, the Department of Statistics reports.

Every parish recorded gains, though at varying rates. Canillo saw the highest percentage rise of 4.4%, with 277 more residents. Ordino grew by 3.8%, adding 215 people. Escaldes-Engordany led in absolute numbers, gaining 328 residents or 2.0%, followed by Encamp with 307 or 2.3%, La Massana with 286 or 2.4%, Sant Julià de Lòria with 160 or 1.6%, and Andorra la Vella with the smallest increase of 126 or 0.5%.

Nationality breakdowns showed "other nationalities" with the largest expansion of 736 people or 4.8%. Andorran nationals rose by 496 or 1.3%, Spaniards by 356 or 1.7%, and French nationals by 268 or 6.7%—the steepest proportional gain among specified groups. Portuguese residents were the exception, dropping by 157 or 1.9%.

Age structure remained dominated by the 15-64 group at 73.3% of the total. Those under 15 comprised 10.5%, while people aged 65 and over accounted for 16.1%. The senior cohort expanded 4.7% over the year, contrasting with a 2.1% decline among under-15s.

Municipal census registrations reached 94,480 at the end of August, up 0.2% from 94,296 a year prior. This resulted in a 4,375-person difference, or 4.9% of the resident estimate—improved from the 6.7% gap recorded in August 2025.
