The Andorran government has incorporated 70 apartments into its public affordable housing stock in Arinsal, reaching a national total of 150 units and meeting an early 2026 commitment. Situated in Blocks I and II of the Ribasol Ski-Park complex along Comallempla road in La Massana parish, the units comprise 62 for standard affordable rentals and eight for temporary residential emergencies.

Government spokesperson Guillem Casal shared the details at a press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting. The initiative, led by Housing Minister Conxita Marsol, opens applications in February to pre-registered families on the affordable housing list. The National Housing Institute (INH) will manage access, allocation, and operations for all units, with Housing and Social Affairs ministries signing an agreement to subsidize shortfalls. No tenant will pay more than 30% of their income.

Block I offers 32 units: 13 studios, 12 one-bedroom apartments, and seven two-bedroom flats. Block II provides 38 units: 17 studios, two one-bedroom, and 19 two-bedroom apartments. Each includes storage and/or parking. Studios average 38 square metres, one-bedrooms 57 square metres, and two-bedrooms 78 square metres.

Rentals are priced at €8.15 per square metre, for an average of €470 monthly. Payments range from €305.79 to €744.54 by size, capped at 30% of income with Social Affairs covering any excess.

These join 88 units already operating in Canillo, Encamp, Andorra la Vella, and Sant Julià de Lòria. For 2026, further additions include 14 apartments in Aixovall, 46 in Ordino, and 44 in Andorra la Vella's Borda Nova I. Plans for 2027 cover 34 on Avinguda del Pessebre in Escaldes-Engordany, three on Carrer Doctor Palau in Sant Julià de Lòria, 30 in Santa Coloma's Cedre project, and 42 in Borda Nova II in the capital. Adding 54 elderly units in Sant Julià's Edifici Laurus, managed by Fundació Privada Laurus, should bring the public portfolio close to 500 units in two years.
