Andorra la Vella has launched refurbishment works on a 1.2-kilometre section of the river promenade between Prat de la Creu bridge and Prada Casadet bridge.

The project, awarded to Treballs Públics Unitas for 768,578.37 euros including IGI, has an expected duration of 12 weeks. It targets an area popular with residents for walking and sports, which has shown signs of heavy use over time.

Cònsol Major Sergi González called the works essential, stating they address the need to modernise the space and enhance its appeal for public use. Councillor for Public Services, Environment and Natural Heritage Jordi Cabanes specified the improvements, including full pavement renewal, new urban furniture such as benches for resting, litter bins and drinking fountains, and an irrigation system to maintain the existing trees along the route. These measures will help retain the area's green features. The initiative also includes upgrades to river access in the section.
