- A1/B1/B2/C1 exams on Jan 23-24 as planned.
- B2 most popular (272), followed by A1 (226), A2 (160).
The Andorran Department of Language Policy has rescheduled the official Catalan A2-level exam to Friday, February 6, due to a surge in registrations reaching 930 candidates overall—nearly 200 more than the 740 recorded for last January's session.
Exams for A1, B1, B2, and C1 levels will proceed as originally planned on Friday, January 23, and Saturday, January 24, following schedules published in the BOPA last November. While some reports initially indicated these might span only one day, the department has confirmed the two-day format remains in place.
The shift for A2 exams responds to heightened demand, particularly driven by immigration requirements for A1 certification and growing needs for language credentials in administrative processes. Breakdowns show B2 as the most popular level with 272 registrants, followed by 226 for A1, 160 for A2, 146 for B1, and 125 for C1. Officials say the change ensures proper oversight for every participant.
A2 testing at the Sant Julià de Lòria Examination Centre will divide into two blocks. Block 1—oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression and interaction—runs from 11:00 to 12:35. Block 2, covering oral expression and interaction, occurs at individually scheduled times for each candidate at the same site.
