### Andorran Police Arrest 13 Over Weekend for Drugs, Drunk Driving, Assaults and Disorder

Andorran police detained 13 people across the country over the weekend during routine checks and incident responses, on charges ranging from drug possession and driving under the influence to assaults on physical and moral integrity, public disorder, resistance to authority, insults to officers, and breaches of judicial orders. All suspects were handed over to judicial authorities in line with standard procedures, with no further details on court outcomes available.

Three cases involved drug possession. On Friday evening at 8:45pm, officers stopped a 30-year-old resident at a Tarter nightlife venue carrying 0.7 grams of cocaine in his jacket pocket. Later that night, around 11:30pm, at the Riu Runer border crossing, a 30-year-old Spanish tourist was found with 2.3 grams of cocaine and 8.4 grams of marijuana. The next day, at the Portà DCNJ checkpoint in Pas de la Casa on the France-Andorra border, a 27-year-old female tourist had 0.7 grams of cocaine and 0.9 grams of hashish.

Seven men faced drunk driving charges. Five, aged 33 to 52, recorded blood alcohol levels between 0.92 and 1.55 g/l. A 24-year-old resident hit the highest at 2.38 g/l. A 54-year-old local, with 1.71 g/l, also stood accused of defying a court order by driving on a suspended licence.

The other three arrests involved violence and disruption. Friday morning around 9am in an Andorra la Vella hotel, a 37-year-old female tourist was held for attacking her ex-partner in front of their young daughter during a family trip. On Saturday at 1:40am in an Andorra la Vella nightclub on Carrer Prat de la Creu, a 28-year-old male tourist caused a disturbance inside, refused to identify himself, directed serious insults at officers, acted with excessive aggression during a roadside clash, and declined a breath test; he faced charges related to public authority and honour. Early Sunday at 00:27 in Escaldes-Engordany, police arrested a 29-year-old tourist for hitting his partner at a relative's home.
