### Andorran Police Arrest 13 Over Weekend for Drugs, Drunk Driving, Assaults and Public Disorder

Andorran police arrested 13 people nationwide over the weekend during routine checks and responses to incidents, citing offences related to drug possession, drunk driving, assaults, public disorder, and violations of judicial orders.

Officers made three drug-related detentions. Friday at 8:45pm in a Tarter nightlife venue, they stopped a 30-year-old resident and discovered 0.7 grams of cocaine in his jacket pocket. Later that night around 11:30pm at the Riu Runer border crossing, a 30-year-old tourist was caught entering with 2.3 grams of cocaine and 8.4 grams of marijuana. The next day at the Portà DCNJ border post, a 27-year-old female tourist was held with 0.7 grams of cocaine and 0.9 grams of hashish.

Road safety operations resulted in seven men being taken into custody for driving under the influence. Five, aged 33 to 52, showed blood alcohol levels between 0.92 and 1.55 g/l. A 24-year-old resident had the highest reading at 2.38 g/l, while a 54-year-old resident with 1.71 g/l also faced charges for breaching a court order by driving on a suspended licence.

Other cases involved two assaults and one public disorder incident. Early Friday around 9am in an Andorra la Vella hotel, a 37-year-old female tourist was detained for attacking her ex-partner in front of their young daughter during a family trip. On Saturday at 1:40am in an Andorra la Vella nightclub on Carrer Prat de la Creu, a 28-year-old tourist argued with bouncers before confronting responding officers. Visibly intoxicated, he ignored orders, hurled insults, physically resisted—leading to a struggle on the street outside—and refused a breathalyser test. He was charged with offences against public authority and honour. Finally, early Sunday at 00:27 in Escaldes-Engordany, a 29-year-old tourist was arrested for assaulting his partner at a relative's home.

All those detained have been placed at the disposal of the courts under standard procedures. No additional information on outcomes or hearings is available.
