Andorran skier Carlota Comellas secured her best FIS points of the season with a 23rd-place finish at the second National Junior Race (NJR) slalom in Champorcher, Italy.

Racing with the FAE's EEBE U19 team, Comellas clocked a combined time of 1:34.73, trailing winner Leonie Barrat of France (1:29.90) by 4.83 seconds. The performance yielded 75.45 FIS points, surpassing her prior season mark of 80.05 and ranking as her second-best career result behind the 66.71 points from Chile last October. It edges out her third-best of 77.46 from Saturday's opening NJR slalom at the same site.

Teammates Isabella Pérez, Salva Cornella, Jan Visa, and Àlex Comellas did not finish their runs.

Meanwhile, six young Andorran skiers are preparing for next week's Youth Alpine FESA Games U16 in Berchtesgaden, Germany, Europe's premier under-16 continental competition. The squad includes boys Marc Visa, Aiden Grard, Guillem Rous, and Manel Romo, plus girls Paula Ledesma and Júlia Capdevila. They depart Monday, with a giant slalom training session Wednesday and official super-G practice Thursday, ahead of Friday's super-G, Saturday's giant slalom, and Sunday's slalom.

In parallel, 11 Andorran skiers competed at the Spanish U16 Cup in Espot, Spain, over the weekend. After two slalom days, they claimed two podiums: third for Vicky Gallerani on Friday and a win for Thomas Breitfuss on Saturday.

Friday's slalom saw Gallerani third, Jana Ferrer fourth, and Martina Aixàs 16th among women. In the men's race, Aitor Corbalán placed seventh, Aleran Mitjana ninth, Íker Cerdà 11th, Pol Xampeny 12th, and Roc Vila 13th.

Saturday's slalom had Breitfuss first, followed by Xampeny fifth, Corbalán eighth, Cerdà 10th, Mitjana 11th, and Vila 12th. Gallerani finished seventh and Aixàs 11th in the women's event. A giant slalom runs Sunday, with super-G closing the event Monday.
