The Bishop of Urgell and co-prince of Andorra, Josep-Lluís Serrano, has named Anna Torné Martínez as the new communications delegate for the Diocese of Urgell.

The appointment, announced in a statement on Wednesday, sees the young professional replace Cristina Orduña Ponti, who served in the role since 2007.

Torné graduated in Political Science and Public Management, with a focus on International Relations, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She also completed a master's in Political Analysis and Institutional Advisory at the University of Barcelona.

Since 2021, she has worked with the Urgell diocese, starting as a volunteer in the communications delegation before taking up a full-time position.

The diocese thanked Orduña for her commitment and expertise during her tenure, which spanned service under Bishops Joan Martí Alanis, Joan-Enric Vives, and Josep-Lluís Serrano.
