The Comú de Canillo has launched a national tender for contractors to replace a structurally deficient sidewalk in front of number 68 on Carrer de la Urbanització Sant Pere in El Tarter. Bids must be submitted by 13 March 2026.
The project involves fully demolishing the existing sidewalk and its metal support structure, then constructing a new cantilevered walkway. This upgrade aims to ensure structural stability, increased load-bearing capacity, and enhanced long-term durability across the 27-metre section, which covers about 40.5 square metres and maintains a uniform 1.5-metre width for pedestrian use only.

Contractors will then install a reinforced concrete tie beam anchored into the ground and existing foundations to bolster the base. A fresh metal framework—using HEB beams and UPN profiles—will support a new 20 cm-thick steel deck slab. Final elements include 6 cm of bituminous paving, granite kerbstones, and metal edging along the property boundary.
