Encamp Parish Opens Super Mario Bros Easter Holiday Activities for Kids

The Encamp parish council will open registrations on Wednesday, March 11, at 10am for Easter holiday activities aimed at children and young people. Families can sign up online via comuencamp.ad or in person at the receptions of the parish's sports centres.

The programmes, themed around the Super Mario Bros video game universe, run for two weeks and emphasise educational leisure through games, challenges, and creative pursuits tailored to different age groups. They promote values such as cooperation, effort, responsibility, and respect in a safe, stimulating environment.

For 6- to 11-year-olds under the Youth Area services, the schedule splits into two phases. The first week features a residential colony from March 30 to April 2 at the Baronia Hostel in Cortals d'Encamp, offering four days and three nights of communal activities. Standard daytime services then continue at the usual Youth Area facilities in Pas de la Casa from March 30 to April 10, and at Encamp's Parc de l'Ossa from April 7 to 10. Hours at these sites run from 8am to 8pm in Encamp and 8:30am to 8pm in Pas de la Casa. Participants will engage in cooperative and competitive games, team challenges, and creative tasks to build decision-making, autonomy, and group commitment.

Younger children aged 3 to 5 will join Llaç d'Animació sessions inspired by Super Mario Bros, featuring symbolic play, motor skill activities, and cooperative dynamics to encourage mutual support and social interaction. These follow the same hours: 8am to 8pm in Encamp and 8:30am to 8pm in Pas de la Casa.

Costs are €79.36 for a four-day week and €90.68 for a five-day week in Pas de la Casa. Discounts include 10% for holders of Carnet Jove, Carnet Piolet, or regular service users, plus 20% for a second sibling. Places are limited to ensure quality supervision.
