Encamp parish council has unveiled its Cultural Cycle programme for the first half of 2026, featuring ten diverse performances from January to June and emphasising national talent in nearly half the lineup.
The series, which blends theatre, dance, music and immersive formats, received an investment of around €65,000 to cover all organisation costs. By announcing the full schedule at the start of the year, officials aim to help audiences plan ahead, build steady cultural habits and boost visibility to retain viewers throughout the semester.
Culture, Childhood and Youth councillor Joan Sans described the programme as a showcase for Andorran artists, with almost 50% of acts featuring homegrown creators. This focus pairs with international elements, including a partnership with the French embassy in Andorra.
The cycle kicks off this Wednesday, 21 January, with the French production *Le porteur d’histoire*, a prize-winning show with over 14 years on stage. Culture technician Álvaro Rodríguez noted it has already reached 75% capacity.
Local highlights include Aina Sánchez's *22 caixes*, an intimate production with audiences almost on stage, set for 30 and 31 January. Lorena Nogal's *PICASSa*—winner of Spain's 2024 National Dance Prize—follows on 7 February at Ràdio Andorra, with limited seating.
Other Andorran contributions feature L’Animal Escola de Teatre's adult group in *Projecte Laramie* on 28 March; and *Ona*, an immersive family show by La Súbita with live music from ONCA member Jordi Claret, scheduled for two performances on 6 June.
The lineup rounds out with *Miss 40* by Rocío Raval (5 March); family-oriented *Alícia al vaixell de les meravelles* by Trencadís Produccions (7 March); La MONTO Dansa's *Alma*, mixing dance and object theatre; and a concert by Tarta Relena on 9 May, fusing roots music with contemporary styles.
Tickets are available via Encamp council's website, priced at €12-14 for adults and €6-7 for children. The initiative marks a shift from one-off events to a structured seasonal agenda that prioritises continuity and local talent.
