FC Barcelona Sets Up Andorra Polling Stations for March 15 Presidential Elections

FC Barcelona members living in Andorra or nearby areas will not need to travel to the Camp Nou to vote in the club's presidential elections on 15 March. As in the 2021 elections five years ago, the club plans to set up polling stations in Catalan provincial capitals and Andorra la Vella to ease access for supporters.

The decision revives a decentralised voting model introduced during the pandemic, when large gatherings at the Camp Nou were avoided. Previously, elections had always been held solely at the stadium. In 2021, stations opened in Lleida, Girona and Tarragona, as well as at the Andorra la Vella congress centre, where 442 members cast ballots. Joan Laporta, the current president, secured around 60% of the votes there en route to victory.

SER Barcelona's 'Què t'hi jugues' programme reported that the same locations are expected this time, with Andorra confirmed as a venue. Additional sites remain under consideration but have not been finalised. This setup benefits local culers, allowing them to vote without long trips—especially as the election date likely avoids a home match. The weekend fixture against Sevilla is expected on Saturday, ahead of Barcelona's Champions League last-16 tie the following week.

The measure ensures broader participation amid the club's ongoing transition from the Camp Nou while renovations continue.
