Firefighters in Andorra la Vella deployed their ladder truck yesterday morning to secure a skylight on the roof of a building at number 67 Avinguda Tarragona, after owners spotted a hazardous shift in one of its glass panels.

The alert came around 8:30am when building owners noticed the panel enclosing the interior light well, or celobert, had moved roughly five centimetres. Concerned it might fall inside the structure or pose risks to passersby and vehicles below, they contacted the fire prevention and extinction service. Crews responded promptly, closing a section of the uphill lane nearly opposite the Columnes building. A traffic officer from the Andorra la Vella service directed slowed traffic during the operation.

Teams reached the rain-slicked roof using the ladder truck and internal access, stabilizing and reinforcing the glass panel to prevent accidents until permanent repairs. The effort concluded without injuries, material damage, or added complications, restoring normal traffic flow shortly after.

Video from the scene captured the ladder truck extended over the central avenue as firefighters worked efficiently to resolve the issue.
