Police in Organyà arrested a 47-year-old man on 4 February on charges of attempted homicide, injuries, and animal cruelty after he allegedly tried to run down a man with his vehicle during a dispute over dogs.

The incident took place around 9am on 2 February near the allotment gardens in the municipality. It stemmed from an argument between a couple walking three leashed dogs and the suspect, who had his animals off-leash. According to the Mossos d'Esquadra investigation, the man returned home after the confrontation, then drove back at high speed aiming to strike one of the walkers—a young man.

The victim dodged the vehicle by jumping to the roadside, but it ran over the three dogs. One died instantly, another sustained serious injuries, and the third had minor wounds. The driver then turned around for a second attempt, which also failed.

The suspect faced the duty investigating court in La Seu d'Urgell the following day. Authorities have not released further details on the judicial outcome.
