Sant Julià de Lòria has launched the 17th edition of its social allotments project, Horts del Dau i del Ganxo, aimed at improving the quality of life for elderly residents in the parish.
The Comú de Sant Julià de Lòria and the Fundació Julià Reig are organising the initiative, which encourages outdoor gardening as a practical activity to benefit seniors. Registrations remain open until 6 March at the Comú's Tràmits Service.
Local authorities have already prepared the plots for cultivation, installed hoses for irrigation, and supplied all necessary equipment. The programme is expected to start in late March or early April, once participants collect their keys.
The project, now in its 17th year, underscores the parish's commitment to active ageing through community gardening.
