Mossos d'Esquadra officers arrested three men aged 28, 29, and 36 on Wednesday for a public health offense related to drug possession and suspected involvement in an organized trafficking group.

The incident occurred around 2am during a routine preventive checkpoint on the N-260 road in La Seu d'Urgell, set up by the Alt Urgell Area Basic Policing unit. Officers stopped the vehicle, detected a strong marijuana smell during identity checks, and noted one occupant attempting to use a fake ID. A thorough search uncovered a wrap of pink cocaine, known as tusi, hidden in the armrest. Among the luggage, they seized a precision scale, a small piece of hashish, two bags containing 15 grams of MDMA, 2.3 grams of marijuana, €600 in cash, and 50 self-sealing bags suitable for retail drug sales.

Police dog units later conducted a more detailed inspection but found no additional drugs. The dogs did detect several hidden compartments in the vehicle, suggesting prior use for transporting substances.

One of the detainees has prior criminal records. All three remain in custody awaiting appearance before the on-duty investigating judge in La Seu d'Urgell.
