Juli Minoves, rector of the University of Andorra (UdA), took part in his first meeting of the Council for International and European Relations (CORIE) at France Universités in Paris on Thursday. Invited by the French conference of university leaders, the event marked the UdA's debut participation in such a gathering.

Minoves presented the university's internationalisation strategy during a discussion panel, focusing on its cross-border cooperation initiatives in the Pyrenean area. He shared the session with Hélène Boulanger, rector of the University of Lorraine, linking the UdA's Andorra-Pyrenees projects to the Greater Region framework (encompassing Kaiserslautern, Liège, Lorraine, Luxembourg, Saarland, and Trier).

He also conducted bilateral meetings with leaders from various French institutions, including the University of Paul Valéry Montpellier, University of Perpignan Via Domitia, National Institute of Applied Sciences in Toulouse, and University Toulouse Jean Jaurès—whose rector, Emmanuelle Garnier, recently visited the UdA and hosted him there. Minoves had previously appeared as a guest rector at France Universités' general assembly at INALCO (National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations), where he networked with numerous French university heads.

The CORIE session served as a working group to assess universities' roles at territorial, regional, European, and international levels, shaping proposals for France's municipal elections in March 2026. France Universités represents 117 public higher education and research institutions, encompassing two million students, 3,000 research labs, and 86 Nobel laureates, with substantial sway in European university policy.
