Users of the Quirola lift in Andorra la Vella have reported a surge in vandalism over recent days, adding to ongoing neglect of the facility. The lift, located next to the Ràdio i Televisió d’Andorra headquarters and linking Baixada del Molí with Príncep Benlloch, remains operational despite the damage.
Daily commuters contacted Altaveu to highlight the deterioration, pointing to litter strewn inside and out, damaged fixtures, and fresh graffiti scrawled across interior surfaces. The problems have intensified since the Christmas period, with uncivil graffiti appearing in growing numbers.
One regular user lamented that "the Quirola lift looks more pitiful by the day." Neighbours note that despite a surveillance camera monitoring the area, acts of vandalism and irresponsible behaviour persist.
The combination of deliberate damage and poor maintenance has left the site in an evident state of abandonment, prompting calls from locals for intervention. Authorities have not yet commented on plans to address the issues.
