Concordia Submits Three Urgent Questions to Andorra Government on Housing, Vulnerable Care, and Talent Attraction

The Concordia parliamentary group has submitted three questions to the General Council for oral responses during plenary sessions, targeting the government's pivot to affordable home sales, protocols for vulnerable individuals following recent fatalities, and initiatives to attract talent.

General Councillor Maria Àngels Aché's question highlights the executive's shift from primarily expanding public rental housing to now including homes for affordable purchase. It asks for the reasons driving this new approach and its place within the overall housing strategy.

Deputy group president Núria Segués raised the second issue after two fatal incidents at Andorran boarding houses over the past month, which the group says reveal conditions of precarity and isolation. Her query demands details on the government's protocols to detect and track people facing mental health challenges, addictions, or unwanted loneliness, ensuring they access public social services.

Group president Cerni Escalé's third question probes measures to bring back young Andorrans and recruit highly skilled professionals for key economic sectors.

The government must address all three in General Council plenaries as standard parliamentary oversight.
