The Ministry of Institutional Relations, Education and Universities announced results from the 2026 Official Baccalaureate Examination (POB) and professional baccalaureate tests on Monday, coinciding with the graduation ceremony for Escola Andorrana students.
Of 258 POB candidates, 233 obtained the baccalaureate title. Among in-person candidates from Escola Andorrana, the pass rate reached 95.28 per cent, placing this cohort among the highest-performing groups and showing improvement over the previous year.
In professional baccalaureate, 104 candidates sat the exams, with 66 achieving certification across renewed and non-renewed branches. Non-renewed branches recorded a 72.22 per cent competency rate, while renewed branches stood at 58.82 per cent.
Officials presented the figures as confirmation of Andorra's robust education model, attributing success to the sustained efforts of students, teachers and families in providing training suited to national priorities.
At the graduation event, Head of Government Xavier Espot Zamora commended the students' effort and perseverance as key to achievement. He noted that beyond academic knowledge, they develop vital skills including teamwork, respect and overcoming challenges—qualities of great worth for personal and career development.
Espot highlighted how Andorra's system cultivates committed citizens with firm values. He encouraged the graduates to face the future boldly, viewing errors as chances to learn and embracing continuous education. He stressed that genuine success encompasses not just academic or professional gains, but also societal contributions made with integrity and accountability.
