The La Massana local council has moved its Social Welfare and Elderly Care department to a street-level office located next to the Tràmits administrative area, aiming to make services more accessible and bring them closer to residents.

Councillor for Social Welfare and Elderly Care Marc Jové stated that the new location offers more convenient access and, crucially, ensures greater confidentiality for consultations and interviews—key priorities in social services. "With this new location, we want to provide more accessible and comfortable attention, but the most important thing is that the new space allows us to guarantee greater confidentiality in consultations and interviews, an aspect especially relevant in the social field," Jové said.
Clàudia Garcia continues to lead the department from the new office, where her team manages municipal social aid. They provide guidance on national social resources, support for benefit applications, and assistance for people facing vulnerability.
Public hours remain 8am to 3pm, with the council urging residents to book appointments in advance by calling 322 571 to ensure efficient service.
