Andorra Endavant Urges Tighter Border Controls with Spain Over Migration Pressures

Andorra Endavant has urged the government to intensify border surveillance with Spain amid ongoing migratory pressures in Europe, particularly following recent events in Ceuta.

In a statement released yesterday, the opposition party, led by Carine Montaner, described migration as a persistent challenge for European countries. Despite Andorra's position outside the European Union, its geography requires proactive and responsible action, the group argued.

The party called for enhanced coordination with Spanish and French authorities to ensure all entries into the principality include full security guarantees and compliance with local legislation.

Andorra Endavant highlighted the principality's selective immigration model as central to its stability. It stressed that citizen safety and effective border oversight must remain top priorities.

The formation warned against delays in preparation, noting that leadership demands foresight to address potential spillover effects from such pressures.
