The Andorran government has opened applications for one university student to join Japan's MIRAI programme, under the Mutual Understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative. The selected participant will visit Japan from 2 to 8 December 2026 with Group 3, which focuses on economics and business.
The programme seeks to build cultural awareness of Japan, foster international ties, and support academic exchanges among students from Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus. It organises participants into five groups by study area, with Japan funding key travel and lodging costs.
Eligibility requires Andorran nationality, a minimum age of 20 by the trip date, current enrolment in a European higher education institution, solid English proficiency and a strong academic record. Applicants must join two pre-trip online sessions and submit their 2025-2026 transcript plus 2026-2027 enrolment proof.
