The Portuguese Consulate General in Andorra is organising information sessions from 11 to 13 September to help residents interested in returning to Portugal, driven by rising living costs in the Principality and the growing draw of Portuguese universities, particularly for families.
Consul General Duarte Pinto da Rocha noted that this demand among the Portuguese community existed before he took office. The events will offer personalised advice on academic qualification equivalences, transferring personal belongings, university applications and tax incentives for returnees.
The schedule begins on 11 September at the consulate with individual consultations from 5pm, followed by a meeting at 8pm with Portuguese community associations. At 9.30pm, a session on return measures will occur at the Grup Folklòric Casa de Portugal cultural centre, La Llanterna, in Escaldes-Engordany.
On 12 September, a presentation is set for 4pm at the Valireta cultural centre in Encamp, with another at 9.30pm in the Pas de la Casa sports complex hall.
The programme ends on 13 September with individual consultations from 4pm at the Associació Cultural de Residents de l'Alt Minho in Encamp.
