The Canillo parish council is organising a new round of village meetings this week to strengthen direct contact with residents, listen to their concerns and suggestions, and provide updates on ongoing projects and prior issues raised.
The gatherings, led by the parish consuls, will allow neighbours to voice needs and proposals while officials report on the status of previous demands and outline key communal works planned or underway in each area. Senior consul Jordi Alcobé described the sessions as a two-way dialogue space, stressing the need to hear input on-site and respond to earlier questions.
Alcobé said the council wants to learn residents' demands firsthand and update them on progress. "It is important for neighbours to know where each demand stands and for us to explain directly what actions we are taking or planning in each village," he added. He further noted that the meetings should promote joint work, not just council explanations but also incorporating community views into local actions.
This initiative builds on past encounters to maintain ongoing engagement across Canillo's villages. The schedule begins Monday with sessions in El Forn, Prats, and Meritxell, followed by Els Plans and Ransol on Tuesday, Aldosa and Tarter-Incles on Wednesday, and Soldeu plus Les Bordes d'Envalira on Thursday. Specific times remain as previously announced: 5:30pm starts in most locations, with later slots at 6:30pm and 7:30pm where applicable.
