Andorra Endavant has renewed its call for the government to integrate financial education into Andorra's school system by September at the latest, insisting on a clear timeline, defined content, and trained teachers.

The group's proposal, approved by a majority in the Consell General last October despite opposition from the PS, has gained broad support. Financial organisations, public bodies, and even Finance Minister Ramon Lladós have since highlighted the need to equip young people with economic knowledge. Andorra Endavant president Carine Montaner described this as a positive development but only "the first step," noting that the idea—once seen as routine—now drives public discourse.

In a recent statement, the group urged a move "from words to deeds," with "the ball now in the government's court." It rejected symbolic gestures, one-off lectures, or awareness drives in favour of structural changes across educational centres. Key topics should include the true cost of loans, compound interest, distinguishing investment from gambling, and spotting financial scams.

Montaner expressed pleasure at the enthusiasm generated, crediting the initiative with placing financial responsibility at the heart of political and institutional agendas. "The debate is over; execution must follow," the group declared, warning that without such training, young people face clear vulnerabilities. Financial literacy, they argued, teaches protection and wealth-building, since "economic freedom starts with knowledge." The current environment makes prompt action even more essential.
