Key Points

  • Discounts raised from 25% to 29% on nursery, holiday activities, camps, and youth programs.
  • Error caused some fees to rise up to 28 euros/month instead of planned 7.50 euros.
  • 5% extra discount retained for single-parent, large families, and those with 33%+ disability.
  • Revised receipts sent from Jan 22 after January payments deferred.

Andorra la Vella has published an official correction in the Official Bulletin of the Principality of Andorra (BOPA) adjusting discounts for parish residents on nursery school and youth activity fees from 25% to 29%.

The update, issued on Wednesday, covers monthly fees, enrolment charges and session costs for all communal programmes aimed at children and young people. This includes nursery schools, school holiday activities, summer camps, the summer arts campus, the El Llamp children's centre, the Santa Coloma play library and other summer programmes.

A 5% discount continues for single-parent or large families, and for those with a disability rating of 33% or higher as recognised by Conava.

The error came to light after opposition councillor David Astrié raised concerns last week, prompting junior consul Olalla Losada to confirm it as a "human calculation mistake". She noted that while 2026 fees were set for a 2.5% increase—below the 2.7% year-end 2025 inflation rate—some nursery charges had mistakenly risen by up to 28 euros per month, rather than the planned 7.50 euros.

January payments were deferred while the issue was resolved. From Thursday, 22 January, the parish will send revised receipts to affected families, accompanied by an explanatory letter.
