Andorra Welcomes New French Co-Prince Representative Leclerc

Andorra's head of government, Xavier Espot, hosted Georges-François Leclerc on Sunday evening for the new French co-prince representative's first official visit to the principality. Leclerc assumed the role on November 26, following an announcement by French President Emmanuel Macron that ended Patrice Faure's tenure.

During the meeting, which followed standard reception protocols, Espot presented Leclerc with the government's institutional pin and a special edition of the *Manual Digest*. Leclerc signed the executive's guest book to mark the initial institutional contact between Andorra's government and France's new envoy.

The visit sets the stage for Leclerc's attendance at Monday's Sant Tomàs celebrations at the General Council. There, he will meet various Andorran authorities and help strengthen cooperation between the two states.

Leclerc brings substantial experience from French public service, having served as prefect in regions including Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Hauts-de-France, Seine-Saint-Denis, Alpes-Maritimes, and Haute-Savoie. He has also acted as chief of staff in multiple ministries and, most recently, for the French president, offering expertise in territorial management, security, and public policy.
