The Bishop of Urgell and Co-Prince of Andorra, Josep-Lluís Serrano Pentinat, paid his first official visit to the Comú d’Andorra la Vella, where he was received by the cònsol major, Sergi González, and the cònsol menor, Olalla Losada. The visit aimed to present the Co-Prince formally and to reinforce institutional cooperation.

The reception began at Plaça Príncep Benlloch and continued at the Comú, where Serrano Pentinat signed the Llibre d’Or and was welcomed in the Sala del Consell by councillors and technical teams. González used his institutional remarks to stress that the Comú’s approach is to put people at the centre of governance and to outlined ongoing and planned projects, including the transformation of Plaça del Poble, the Reviu housing programme, the imminent opening of the Poblet de Nadal and the future Espai Capital.

Serrano Pentinat highlighted the importance of working together across administrations and of looking to the future with openness, civic participation and unity. He also noted Andorra la Vella’s particular identity as the highest capital in Europe and expressed support for consolidating it as a capital of the Pyrenees.

After an official photograph and exchange of institutional gifts, the Co-Prince toured the Comú building, meeting staff on the various floors. The programme included a visit to the Comú’s new premises, and stops at the Circulation services and the BiciLab Andorra.

Following an institutional lunch at Casal Calones, the delegation inspected the Plaça del Poble area while the cònsols detailed the planned transformation projects, including the Espai Capital. The day concluded at the Casa del Poble with a snack shared with older residents of the parish.

The visit served to strengthen dialogue between the Coprincipality and the local administration and to convey the parish’s projects, challenges and priorities for the coming years.
