The National Housing Institute (INH) has opened a public offer to allocate 20 affordable rental flats in the former Hotel Hermus on Carrer René Baulard in Encamp. The application period runs from 27 November until 12 December 2025; only people registered in the Register of Applicants for Affordable Housing before 26 November may apply.

INH will notify registered individuals and households directly, from the closing date, whether they meet the established criteria based on household composition and the typology of available units. The offer comprises 12 one‑bedroom flats and 8 two‑bedroom flats, with sizes ranging from 45 to 65 square metres.

Public initial prices are set at €416.27 for one‑bedroom units and €602.53 for two‑bedroom units. The rent charged to successful applicants will equal 30% of regular household income, but in no case may it exceed 75% of the market price (i.e. market price minus 25%). Households that cannot cover the affordable rent may apply for rental assistance if they meet the eligibility requirements.

The units have undergone full renovation, are freshly painted and delivered unfurnished. Kitchens include a ceramic hob, oven and extractor hood. The building is equipped with an elevator.

The site has an exterior parking area with eight spaces reserved for tenants who have vehicles; if spaces remain after the allocation process they may be offered to other public‑housing tenants in the parish of Encamp. The fee for a parking space is €44.15 per month, subject to annual adjustment in line with consumer price index variations.

INH warns that the assessment of a registration can take up to two months and, given the prospect of further public offers, encourages people and families in need of affordable housing to register so they can be considered for allocation.
