- A confrontation at a restaurant in Andorra la Vella between Liberland representatives and content creator Sergio Aragonés led to two formal police.
At least two representatives of the self-styled microstate Liberland and members of the entourage of content creator Sergio Aragonés, known online as "The Shootercoc", were involved in an altercation on Saturday at a restaurant in Andorra la Vella, and at least two police complaints have been filed, according to those complaints.
Pol (Pablo) Victoria, identified in the complaints as an ambassador for Liberland, and some colleagues from Madrid had travelled to Andorra to promote the project — a claimed micronation located between Serbia and Croatia that issues virtual coins — and had arranged meetings with several influencers. They say they had contacted Aragonés and agreed a lunch, but the meeting did not proceed as planned.
Victoria and a companion say they went to the Prada Ramon restaurant where Aragonés and his group were dining after the latter did not answer calls. The two groups initially stayed apart, the complaints state, but after their members’ gazes met a verbal exchange took place and there were pushes. Each side accuses the other: Victoria’s group accuses Aragonés and his associates of harassment, while Aragonés and his companions reportedly accused Victoria’s group of following them to exploit the influencer’s fame to promote Liberland.
Victoria and one colleague filed formal complaints late Saturday at the central police station, naming Aragonés and one of his associates. Their complaints also allege that members of Aragonés’s group hacked into their mobile phones, obtained personal data — including a residence address, a partner’s telephone number and an Airbnb stay — and used that information to intimidate them. In at least one instance the complaint alleges a death threat directed at Victoria’s partner. The complaints say telephone communications after the restaurant incident contained threatening content.
Aragonés, according to the available information, has not filed a counter-complaint. Police will investigate the allegations; it is not yet clear whether the complaints will lead to charges.
