Minority councillor backs Carles Ensenyat as ideal general election candidate

Enric Dolsa, a minority councillor in Ordino, said on Wednesday in an interview with Ràdio Nacional that he believes the ideal candidate to win the next general election is the current Síndic General (parliamentary speaker), Carles Ensenyat.

Dolsa, who served alongside Ensenyat for three years in Andorra pel Canvi, said he knows him well and praised his performance as síndic. “He is someone I know perfectly. I spent three years with him doing politics at Andorra pel Canvi and we worked together. He is doing the job of síndic wonderfully and is very well prepared,” Dolsa said.

Although Ensenyat is a member of Demòcrates d’Andorra (DA), Dolsa said that would not deter him from supporting Ensenyat personally. “I would not vote for any party; I would vote for a person who would lead. He is from DA, and I think that if they convince him to lead a national candidacy they would win the elections,” he added.
