Ombudsman to hold parish visits 15–18 December

The Ombudsman, Xavier Cañada, will carry out a new round of parish visits from Monday, 15 December, to Thursday, 18 December as part of the "El Raonador més a prop" programme to bring the institution closer to residents and make its services more accessible. The decentralised initiative is intended to let citizens present complaints, consultations or suggestions without having to travel to the Ombudsman’s headquarters in Andorra la Vella.

Cañada said the visits aim to remove barriers to access and “facilitate as much as possible that citizens can contact the Ombudsman without barriers or unnecessary journeys,” reinforcing direct contact and trust in the institution. The meetings will be held in communal spaces ceded by the parish councils to ensure a familiar, local environment and to provide personalised attention, particularly for people with mobility, scheduling or distance difficulties.

The decentralised model also allows the Ombudsman to learn first‑hand about specific problems affecting each parish and to improve the institution’s capacity to respond.

Schedule and locations: - Monday, 15 December — Sant Julià de Lòria, Vella Casa Comuna, 09:00–11:00; Escaldes‑Engordany, Casa Comuna (5th floor), 11:30–13:30. - Tuesday, 16 December — Ordino, El Cim (Casa de la Muntanya), 09:00–11:00; La Massana, Sala de l'Indret, 11:30–13:30. - Wednesday, 17 December — Encamp, 08:15–10:00; Pas de la Casa, 15:00–17:00. - Thursday, 18 December — Canillo, Palau de Gel, 17:00–19:00.
