Key Points
- FC Andorra misses goalkeeper Yaakobishvili (Hungary senior) and midfielder Kim (South Korea U-23) for matches vs Cultural Leonesa and Málaga.
- Yaakobishvili, 20, called for Hungary friendlies vs Slovenia and Greece.
- Kim, 20, on loan from Girona, joins SK U-23 camp vs Japan U-21 and USA U-22; also suspended due to yellow card.
- Coach Manso adapts; Owono skips Equatorial Guinea duty for club continuity.
FC Andorra will be without goalkeeper Áron Yaakobishvili and midfielder Minsu Kim for their upcoming Primera División matches against Cultural Leonesa this Sunday and Málaga next Wednesday due to international duties.
Yaakobishvili, the 20-year-old Hungarian nicknamed Yaako, earned a call-up to Marco Rossi's senior national team for friendlies against Slovenia on 28 March and Greece on 31 March. Having featured in Hungary's youth setups from under-17 to under-21 levels, he has made four substitute appearances for Andorra this season and could make his senior debut in these preparatory games.
Minsu Kim, the 20-year-old from Gwangju on loan from Girona, joins South Korea's under-23 squad under coach Myung Jae-yong for a training camp. The team faces Japan's under-21 side on 29 March and the United States' under-22 team on 31 March. Kim, who has played 31 second-division matches this term with six goals and three assists, received his fifth yellow card from the bench—after being substituted at halftime—in Andorra's recent match against Eibar. That booking triggers a one-match suspension, aligning with his international absence.
The absences impact Sunday's home game against Cultural Leonesa at 16:15 and the 1 April midweek clash against Málaga in Encamp. Head coach Carles Manso, leading the technical staff under Gerard Piqué and Jaume Nogués, will need to adapt.
Meanwhile, Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper Jesús Owono has chosen to skip a national team call-up to prioritize continuity with Andorra during this critical stretch.
Club representatives see the international nods as a sign of the squad's rising profile as Andorra advances in Spanish football.
