FC Andorra Thumps Leganés 4-0 for Fourth Straight Win, Secures Survival

FC Andorra secured a convincing 0-4 victory over Leganés at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque, marking their fourth consecutive win in Spain's Segunda División and moving them to ninth place, six points from the play-off spots with five matches remaining.

Marc Cardona opened the scoring in the 44th minute, finishing a precise pass from Dani Villahermosa after Carrique switched play to the right flank. The Andorrans had controlled possession but weathered Leganés counters, with goalkeeper Jesús Owono making key saves, including stops against Juan Cruz, Álex Millán, and Marcos Leiva in the first half.

Diego Alende doubled the lead in the 53rd minute, firing a powerful shot from the edge of the area following a pass from Marc Domènech during a scramble inside the box. Josep Cerdà made it 0-3 in the 63rd minute, converting a rebound after Manu Nieto's effort struck Soriano. Théo Le Normand completed the scoring in the 80th minute, beating Soriano with a composed finish from Sergio Molina's through ball.

Owono preserved the clean sheet with further outstanding interventions, denying Naim García, Roberto López—who hit the post on the rebound—and others late in the game. Leganés attendance was 9,877.

Coach Carles Manso started Cardona up front for the second straight match after his goal against Valladolid, alongside Manu Nieto, while Minsu began on the bench. Substitutions included Sergio Molina for the booked Gael Alonso at halftime, and a triple change around the 67th minute bringing on Bomba, Le Normand, and Minsu for Akman, Cerdà, and Cardona.

Referee José Antonio Sánchez Villalobos issued yellow cards to Leganés players Marvel, Cissé, Lalo Aguilar, Guirao, and others, plus one to Andorra's Gael Alonso.

The result mathematically confirms Andorra's survival in the division. They host Albacete next on Friday at 16:15 in Encamp, followed by Las Palmas the subsequent Sunday.
