Etna Pou claimed victory in the opening women's giant slalom of the Creand Cup - Ford Trophy on Grandvalira's Esparver run at El Tarter, with Íria Medina securing gold in Friday's second race to end the 2025-2026 ski season.
Both FIS events were run by Esquí Club Ordino Arcalís. In Thursday's women's race, the 17-year-old Pou, who trained at Esquí Club Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig and competed this season with France's APEX Tignes Ski Club, posted 2:01.84. Third after the opening run at 0.18 seconds behind Medina, she set the fastest second descent to win by 0.68 seconds ahead of Medina's silver and Spain's Lisa Vallcorba in third at 1.18 back. The top U18, Pou earned 28.70 FIS points—her best giant slalom result and a drop from 40.23. Isabella Pérez took eighth and Carlota Comellas tenth.
Spain's Roger Barceló won the men's event in 1:58.27, with Andorran Àlvar Calvo taking silver in 1:58.74, 0.47 seconds off the lead. Calvo climbed from third with the quickest second run, improving to 32.93 FIS points from 36.04—his season-best in giant slalom. Xavier Cornella was fourth at 0.96 back, gaining to 37.12 from 49.44. Other Andorrans in the top 10 included Max Black (sixth, top U18), Àlex Rius (seventh, up seven places), and Marc Fernández (eighth). Maià Font placed 11th, Pirmin Estruga 12th (51.04 from 57.39), Pere Cornella 14th, Robert Solsona and Marcel Pérez tying 17th with FIS improvements, plus Èric Ebri (21st), Carlos Salinas (24th), Èric Guimerà (27th), Èric Mitjana (28th), and Sergi Puigdemasa (33rd).
Friday's women's race went to Medina in 2:12.39 for 27.46 FIS points, ahead of Spain's Martina Terren (2.50 seconds back) and Blanca Bagaria (3.07 back), though not beating her prior 26.21. Comellas was seventh, Ainhoa Piccino eighth (81.55 FIS points), and Anna Ramentol 13th. Pou, third after the first run, did not finish the second. In men's, Calvo earned silver again, 0.37 seconds behind Spain's Simón Jorge Calzado of Club Aranés d'Esports d'Iuèrn, with 34.49 FIS points—his second-best giant slalom this season. Black took third and top U18 at 34.49 points, a personal best. Font placed fifth (41.17 from 45.39), Marc Fernández eighth, Pirmin Estruga 10th, Xavier Cornella 11th, Àlex Rius 13th, Robert Solsona 18th (FIS gain), Pere Cornella 19th, Carlos Salinas 25th, Èric Guimerà 26th (FIS gain), Èric Mitjana 33rd, and Sergi Puigdemasa 36th.
