The Andorran Olympic Committee (COA) delegation is attending the annual general assembly of the Small States of Europe Games in Monaco this weekend, one year ahead of the host nation's edition.
The gathering brings together representatives from all participating countries to discuss key issues including logistics and sports organisation for the Monaco event. Leading the Andorran team are COA president Xavier Espot Miró, technical committee president Jaume Tomàs, and deputy general secretary Clàudia Espot.
Assemblies held previously in Andorra had finalised the sports disciplines for Monaco, Espot Miró noted, but ongoing challenges remain. Andorra plans to share its experience, knowledge, and support, demonstrating solidarity with the Monaco Olympic Committee.
The agenda also covers preparations for future editions in Luxembourg and Cyprus. During the technical commission meeting, participants will finalise the sports programme and address imbalances, such as disciplines with too few or too many entrants that need fine-tuning, according to Tomàs. Andorra's recent hosting experience offers fresh operational insights to contribute.
