Atlètic Club d'Escaldes and FC Santa Coloma Set for Copa Constitució Final

Atlètic Club d'Escaldes and FC Santa Coloma will face off in the Copa Constitució final on May 24 at Nou Estadi de la FAF in Encamp, with the winner securing a European qualification spot.

The finalists advanced through tense derbies on Thursday evening. In the Escaldes clash, Atlètic came from behind to defeat Inter Escaldes 2-1. Inter opened the scoring in the 23rd minute via Alex Sánchez, but Domi Berlanga equalised eight minutes later. Rodrigo Piloto netted the decisive goal in the 60th minute, though the effort drew widespread protests after he appeared to control the ball with his hands before racing clear to beat the keeper. Atlètic, coached by Martí Riverola, now eye continental football, given their slim league prospects.

The Coloma derby went to extra time, where FC Santa Coloma triumphed 3-0 over UE Santa Coloma. The sides were level at 0-0 after 90 minutes until Íñigo Barrenechea broke the deadlock in the 93rd minute. Guillaume López struck three minutes later, and Sascha Andreu completed the scoring in the 119th minute. Felip Ortiz's Inter side had led briefly in their matchup, but could not hold on.
