The Andorran Ski Federation (FAE) has restructured its men's national ski team ahead of the new season, elevating Xavier Cornella—also known as Xavi—to group A under technical director Fred Beauviel while moving Bartumeu Gabriel, nicknamed "Bartu," to group B.
The changes merge the youngest previous national team members with the former EEBE U19 group—those who met performance criteria—into a new EEBE U23 development squad. Gabriel will collaborate directly with this squad. Retired skier Àlex Rius has joined the technical staff to provide support on skiing techniques and additional roles.
Dídac González leads the EEBE U23 group, with technicians Mihai Bara and Nico Belcredi, and physical conditioner Romain Chamayou. The squad includes Àlvar Calvo, Maià Font, Salva Cornella, Max Black, Jan Visa, Jordi Rogel, Marcel Pérez, Isabella Pérez, Carlota Comellas, Àlex Comellas, Èric Guimerà, Manel Romo, Marc Visa, Aiden Grard, and Guillem Rous. In parallel, the FAE held a session on sport and menstruation for female skiers in its programs and club development groups, aiming to normalize the topic and offer tools to enhance performance and health.
