FC Andorra to Kick Off 2026-27 Liga Hypermotion at Home vs AD Ceuta

FC Andorra breaks a three-year trend by hosting AD Ceuta in their 2026-27 season opener at Encamp's Nou Estadi de la FAF. The RFEF unveiled the full schedule in Madrid, highlighting squad boosts and pivotal clashes against Eibar, Girona, and Valladolid.

Key Points

  • First home opener after three straight away starts, at Nou Estadi de la FAF on Aug 14-16.
  • Ceuta last won 2-0 at Encamp in May; Andorra signed Álex Camacho, Ale Meléndez, Cedric Teguia.
  • Season ends away at Real Oviedo on June 6; key fixtures include Eibar, Sabadell, Girona.
  • Coach Carles Manso leads fourth pro season, with Piqué and Nogués in leadership.

FC Andorra will open the 2026-27 Liga Hypermotion season at home against AD Ceuta at Nou Estadi de la FAF in Encamp over the weekend of 14-16 August, marking the first time the club starts a campaign in front of its own fans after three away openers.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced the full fixture list on Tuesday at Madrid's Plaça de Colón, site of a giant screen for Spain's World Cup matches. Tenerife captain Aitor Sanz, whose deal expires this summer, kicked off the event symbolically before the schedules for top divisions were unveiled. This follows last year's presentation in Ávila's San Juan de la Nava.

Ceuta, coached by José Juan Romero, were the last visitors to win at Encamp on 24 May, prevailing 2-0 with Andorra down to 10 men following Petxa's red card. Martí Vilà's own goal stemmed from a collision with keeper Nico Ratti, and Aboubacar Bassinga added a second in the 66th minute. The club has bolstered its squad with winger Álex Camacho from Juventud de Torremolinos, Ale Meléndez from Albacete Balompié, and Cedric Teguia from Moreirense.

The season closes away at Real Oviedo's Estadio Carlos Tartiere on the weekend of 6 June. The newly relegated LaLiga EA Sports side fell 3-0 to Andorra last year in Asturias, confirming the Principality team's relegation to Primera RFEF before their promotion back.

Key early matches feature an away trip to Celta Fortuna—the promoted Vigo reserves—over 21-23 August, likely at Balaídos or Barreiro, where coach Fredi Álvarez's position remains unclear. Jornada 3 hosts SD Eibar under Jokin Aranbarri at Encamp. Andorra visits CE Sabadell on Jornada 8 around 4 October at Nova Creu Alta, with Ferran Costa's return as their coach in Jornada 39 over 16 May. Girona visits arrive in Jornada 10 on 18 October at Montilivi and Jornada 29 on 7 March at home. Real Mallorca, another relegation arrival who signed ex-Andorra-linked Adrián Fuentes, play at Encamp in Jornada 13 and away in Jornada 23.

Jornada 34 on 11 April brings Real Valladolid to Encamp for the retro weekend; Andorra's 1-0 win there last season via Marc Cardona clinched survival.

Under coach Carles Manso, with Gerard Piqué and Jaume Nogués in the technical leadership, this is Andorra's fourth professional season. The first half ends away at Albacete on 10 January, with the second starting at home to Tenerife a week later.
