FC Andorra Bids Farewell to Nine Loan Players, Eyes Returns for Owono and García

FC Andorra has bid farewell to nine loan players whose contracts expired on June 30, while confirming ongoing efforts to secure new loan deals for goalkeeper Jesús Owono and forward Jastin García ahead of pre-season training next Monday.

In a statement released Monday, the club thanked the departing players for their efforts during the campaign and confirmed their returns to parent clubs. Among the goalkeepers, Owono returns to Alavés after 22 appearances, mainly in the second half of the season where he established himself as the starter with strong performances under pressure. Áron Yaakobishvili heads back to Barça Atlètic following a solid first-half run that included several standout saves; the young keeper also earned full caps for Hungary during his time in Andorra.

Defender Álex Petxarroman, on loan from Deportivo de La Coruña for his second spell, featured in 20 matches primarily at right-back. Centre-back Édgar González, who arrived from Almería amid a challenging stretch, managed only three outings due to a long-term right adductor injury. Imanol García de Albéniz, from Sparta Prague, logged 27 games.

Winter signing Yeray Cabanzón returns to Racing de Santander after 19 appearances, including a bright start with two goals and an assist in his first three matches. Aingeru Olabarrieta, loaned from Athletic Club, played 31 times and scored once against Córdoba at Estadi d'Encamp, though his minutes dwindled late in the season. Jastin García goes back to Girona having impressed in 30 fixtures with four goals, attracting interest from other teams. Minsu Kim, also from Girona, ends his loan as an early Segunda División standout with 42 games and six goals.

The club is working to bring back Owono and Jastin García on fresh loans for the new campaign. Separately, striker Marc Cardona's earlier departure from his Huesca loan was already announced, with three league goals in limited action. Midfielder Luismi Redondo, who spent last season on loan at Cartagena, has been sold to Huesca—with FC Andorra retaining 10% of any future transfer fee—after contributing five goals and five assists in 35 matches there. Redondo, a key figure in Andorra's promotion push two summers ago with 36 appearances across competitions, had one year left on his contract.
