FC Andorra Beats Gimnàstic 2-0 in Pre-Season Friendly

FC Andorra claimed a 2-0 win over Gimnàstic de Tarragona in their fourth pre-season friendly at Nou Estadi Costa Daurada, marking their third victory and extending an unbeaten run that includes three wins and one draw.

Jordi Cano opened the scoring in the ninth minute. Marc Domènech regained possession high in Nàstic's half and played a pass to Cano, who slotted home with a low cross-shot. Later, in the 37th minute, Cano earned a penalty after Joseda Menargues handled the ball inside the area but sent his kick wide of the post.

Pau López made his debut in goal for Andorra, replacing Nico Ratti from the prior match against Inter Club d'Escaldes and playing the full 90 minutes. Coach Carles Manso rotated his squad extensively, with only Efe Akman, Schneider, Andoni López and Alende keeping their starting spots. New inclusions were Bomba, Marc Domènech, Carrique, Nacho Quintana and Golubovic.

Nàstic controlled possession early but posed few threats, leaving López with a quiet first half. They refreshed their lineup at the break and came closest in the 77th minute when Gómez fired into the side netting. Andorra, who brought on Gael Alonso and Tiago soon after half-time followed by Aron Rodrigo and Juan Sebastián, stayed in command despite a heat-affected slower pace. They twice tested Gaizka Ayesa, who kept out further efforts.

Hugo Solozábal wrapped up the scoreline in the 85th minute, finishing a cross from Martí Vilà with a slide. The result underscored Andorra's physical advantage against Nàstic, who were in their pre-season opener.
