The Andorran women's alpine ski team from the Federació Andorrana d'Esports d'Hivern (FAE) has finished its preparatory camp in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, ahead of the South American Cup races.
Íria Medina, Jordina Caminal and Clàudia García, under the guidance of team head Xoque Bellsolà, coach Ibon Mintegui and ski technician Mathis Cottet, wrapped up several days of training focused on giant slalom at the Swiss resort. The sessions were designed to build momentum for the extended stay in Argentina and the South American Cup (SAC) events scheduled at Cerro Castor on 16 and 17 August.
Bellsolà praised the camp's outcomes, noting strong performances in giant slalom to energize the team before traveling to Ushuaia. "We were very good in Saas-Fee training giant slalom to get the engines going before heading to Ushuaia," she said.
The athletes have returned to Andorra for light sessions and recovery prior to departing for Argentina on 9 August.
Meanwhile, Cande Moreno is progressing steadily with her training in Andorra following knee surgery in March.
