FC Andorra full-back Juan Sebastián has described the club as the "ideal environment" for his continued development after joining on a free transfer from Real Zaragoza.
The Aragonese right-back, who debuted for the Tricolours in their pre-season friendly against Millwall, gave his first interview as a new signing. Formed largely in Zaragoza's youth system after early stints at Compañía de María and Stadium Casablanca, he joined the club's sports city at age 11. Sebastián said the team's project, with its strong identity in recent years, was decisive in his choice. "Everything surrounding the footballer here provides the perfect setting for exponential development and growth," he stated.
He detailed his playing style as an offensive-minded full-back who covers significant ground and excels in defensive duels, naturally positioned on the right but able to play left-back or centre-back. "The characteristics the team needs defensively and in attack match mine very well," he noted. Looking ahead, he aims for regular minutes following last season, while hoping the squad competes effectively in a demanding league.
Beyond football, Sebastián expressed excitement about settling in Andorra, a place he has visited but not fully explored. "They've told me it's very peaceful to live in—an ideal spot for a footballer. I can't wait to discover the country, especially in winter," he said. He approaches this stage "very happily and with huge enthusiasm," viewing it as the right place to advance both professionally and personally.
The club, under Gerard Piqué's ownership, presses on with its pre-season squad reshaping under coach Carles Manso. Negotiations continue for experienced goalkeeper Pau López on a three-year contract with an optional fourth, the 31-year-old former Spain international reportedly ready to forgo two years at Real Betis, drawn by family links near Girona.
Interest in departures remains active. Midfielder Dani Villahermosa, with seven goals and eight assists across 41 outings last term, is advancing in talks with Real Oviedo for a potential €1.7 million fee plus €200,000 in variables—potentially a club-record sale—while Almería eyes his release clause through June 2027. Centre-back Gael Alonso, who featured 38 times last season, has attracted relegated Mallorca despite a €5 million clause. Striker Lautaro de León, tied until 2028, faces a possible move after interest from Polish club Raków Częstochowa.
No official club announcements have followed these developments.
