FC Andorra striker Aitor Uzkudun has joined Mirandés on loan until the end of the season, reuniting with compatriot Aron Rodrigo at the Primera RFEF club.
The 23-year-old Basque forward, under contract with FC Andorra until 2028, moves to the Miranda de Ebro side's Anduva stadium for the campaign in Group 2 of the division. Uzkudun was on the bench for Andorra's league opener against Ceuta, which they won, and now heads out on another temporary spell to gain more playing time.
He arrived at FC Andorra last year via Ibai Gómez and featured in 13 LaLiga Hypermotion matches in the first half of the previous season, logging 163 minutes. His sole goal came in the Copa del Rey first round at Valle de Egüés. In January, he transferred to Real Avilés in Primera RFEF, where he appeared in 13 games across the second half of the term, scoring three times and providing four assists.
Rodrigo, an Andorran international, joined Mirandés earlier this summer. The club, relegated from a higher tier last year, looks to strengthen its forward line.
The deal was confirmed on 18 August, with FC Andorra's squad returning to training at Estadi Comunal Joan Samarra following their successful debut.
