Key Points

  • 23-year-old Basque forward Uzkudun moves to 1a RFEF's Mirandés from FC Andorra.
  • Will reunite with fellow Andorra loanee Aron Rodrigo at Miranda de Ebro club.
  • Uzkudun scored 1 goal in 13 LaLiga Hypermotion games, 3 goals and 4 assists in 13 at Avilés.
  • Deal between clubs finalized on August 18 after Mirandés' relegation last season.

Aitor Uzkudun, the FC Andorra striker from the Basque Country, will spend the upcoming season on loan at Mirandés after an agreement between the two clubs.

The 23-year-old forward joins the 1a RFEF side from Miranda de Ebro in Castilla y León, where he will team up with fellow Andorran loanee Aron Rodrigo. Rodrigo arrived at the club this summer, while Uzkudun joined FC Andorra last year at the behest of Ibai Gómez.

During the first half of the LaLiga Hypermotion season, Uzkudun made 13 appearances for Andorra, totaling 163 minutes, and scored once in the Copa del Rey first round away to Valle de Egüés. In January, he moved on loan to Reial Avilés in 1a RFEF, where he played 13 matches, netting three goals and adding four assists.

Mirandés, which was relegated from a higher division last season, aims to build on that momentum in the attacking third. The move was finalized on 18 August.
